The workshop explores what financial literacy means and discusses how financially savvy we are and what we can do to develop our financial skills. To manage our own lives and our families’ day-to-day finances, we need to be able to analyse and keep track of personal and household income and expenses. Where does the money come from, and where does it go? We will discuss whether, and to what extent, it is important to involve all family members in planning the household finances, and what happens when finances are not planned. We will also discuss participants’ positive and less positive experiences.
The workshop will be led by Anne Rähn, Junior Lecturer in Social Work Management at the University of Tartu Pärnu College. The workshop introduces the University of Tartu Pärnu College’s applied higher education curriculum in Social Work and Rehabilitation Management.
