The workshop will explain what financial literacy means and discuss how financially savvy we are and what we could do to improve our financial literacy. To manage our own lives and our family’s day-to-day finances, we need to be able to analyse and keep track of personal and family income and expenses wisely. Where does the money come from, and where does it go? We will discuss whether and how important it is to involve all family members in planning the family finances, and what happens when finances are not planned. We will also discuss participants’ positive and less positive experiences. The workshop will be led by Anne Rähn, Junior Lecturer in Social Work Management at the University of Tartu Pärnu College. The workshop introduces the University of Tartu Pärnu College’s applied higher education programme in Social Work and Rehabilitation Management.
