Seminar and Demo Day | The Rise of Humanoids: The Reality of Robotics Today and Tomorrow’s Possibilities

Hasta la vista, sci-fi robots? Is it time to say goodbye to robots from science fiction and welcome humanoids and robot dogs into the real world? Have we reached the point where robots are ready to work alongside us, or is that still science fiction? Tallinna Tehnikakõrgkool, Meridein and Droon.ee invite everyone interested to a practical seminar and demo day at Tallinna Tehnikakõrgkool on 10 November. We’ll focus on developments in robotics, from industrial and mobile robots to humanoids and drones.

Time: 10 November, 10:00–14:00
Location: Tallinna Tehnikakõrgkool (Pärnu maantee 62, Tallinn), auditorium B311
Admission: Free; registration via Fienta by 4 November

We’ll discuss which technologies are ready for use and practical application, what limitations still need to be overcome, and how to find a robotic solution that suits your organisation’s needs. In addition to the presentations, you can get a closer look at humanoids and other robots in the open demo area and see what these machines can do.

Seminar and demo day schedule:

9:30–10:00 Arrival

10:00–12:00 Seminar opening and presentations
Robotics today and tomorrow: from industrial robots to humanoids | Tallinna Tehnikakõrgkool
Humanoids and robot dogs under the microscope: what can they do already, and what can’t they do yet? | Meridein
Drones today and tomorrow: from remotely piloted aircraft to autonomous tools | Meridein
Robots in real working environments: experience, lessons and next steps | Scaledrive

12:00–14:00 Light lunch and open demo area

In the demo area, you can take a closer look at humanoids and other robots in the Meridein and Droon.ee product ranges. Come and see what these machines can do, ask the experts for more information, and consider which tasks robotics could help solve in your organisation.

The seminar and demo day is intended for business leaders, technology and development specialists, and anyone who wants to understand the practical possibilities of robotics and assess how it could be applied in their organisation.
