RUUM Concert Series: Anemoon Duo

In November, RUUM hosts two concerts in a row: on 4 November, Robert Jürjendal performs a programme dedicated to his 60th birthday, and on 5 November, Anett Tamm and Anna Regina Kalk perform as the duo Anemoon.

Anett Tamm — voice, effects, compositions
Anna Regina Kalk — electric guitar, effects, compositions

Tears of Aphrodite and the blood of Adonis, abandoned love, bad luck, illnesses, spring weather and Henri Matisse — mix it all together and wait for the sweet and virtuous, poisonous and enchanting Anemoon to sprout.

Anemoon performs original compositions by Anna Regina Kalk and Anett Tamm, bringing together art rock, spoken word and contemporary jazz in a distinctly Nordic, crisp whole. Anemoon’s music casts a suitably critical eye both on itself and on contemporary society, reflecting on the seemingly diminishing value of the individual and the search for experiences and meaning in superficial beauty, like a drug that charms and intoxicates, then poisons and destroys.

Any conclusions or solutions are nevertheless left open, giving both the audience and the musicians on stage the freedom to enter into a playful dialogue, where serious subjects are treated with humour and light questions perhaps a little too seriously.

Anemoon has performed as a quartet, with Martin Petermann (drums) and Kristjan Robert Rebane (bass), as well as a duo at Jazzkaar, Nanana Jazz Festival and Raahe Jazz in Finland, and at jazz clubs across Estonia. In spring 2026, Anemoon released its first EP, “Land of Expectations”.

Concerts take place once or twice a month at Ekspeditsiooni stuudio in the Krulli building, as part of the RUUM concert series, now in its second season. RUUM is more than just a place: musicians come here because they enjoy improvising, creating their own music and stories, and searching — just like we do. RUUM has the atmosphere of a jazz club, with a bar serving drinks and pastries.
