RUUM Concert Series: Robert Jürjendal 60

Two concerts in a row are coming to RUUM in November: Robert Jürjendal takes the stage on 4 November with a programme dedicated to his 60th birthday, followed on 5 November by the duo Anemoon, Anett Tamm and Anna Regina Kalk.

Robert Jürjendal is a renowned guitarist, composer and music teacher. At RUUM, we will celebrate his 60th birthday with this concert, featuring his solo programme. In 1993, he founded the still-active ensemble Weekend Guitar Trio (Robert Jürjendal / Mart Soo / Tõnis Leemets). Jürjendal has written and arranged most of the ensemble’s music. He also formed the duo UMA with trumpet and corno da caccia soloist Aleksei Saks. In April 2013, he released his first studio album, “Rõõmu allikas”. Jürjendal has composed works for classical guitar, string quartet, two harpsichords, recorders, chamber orchestra and choirs.

Advance tickets: €17/14; on the day of the concert, €20 for everyone. The concert has two parts and starts at 19:00. The bar opens at 18:15.

Concerts take place once or twice a month at Ekspeditsiooni stuudio in the Krulli building, now in the second season of the RUUM concert series. RUUM is more than just a venue: musicians come here to improvise, create their own music and stories, and explore—just like we do. RUUM has the atmosphere of a jazz club, with a bar serving drinks and pastries.
