On 30 October at 19:00, young cellist Deliisa Virunurm will perform at Tallinn Town Hall. Joining her on stage are pianist Lea Leiten and cellist Egmont Välja. The varied programme features both undiscovered gems and well-known works for cello. At its centre is the expressive Cello Sonata (1919) by Dutch composer Henriëtte Bosmans, presented to Estonian audiences for the first time in this concert series. The programme also includes Alfredo Piatti’s reflective elegy for two cellos, Bohuslav Martinů’s distinctive and playful variations on a Slovak theme, and Gaspar Cassadó’s fast-paced, Mediterranean-flavoured “Requiebros”. If you wish, you can contribute to a fund supporting Deliisa Virunurm’s further studies by purchasing a supporter ticket.
