TARTU – Practical AI Workshop for Office Professionals

Could AI draft meeting minutes, summarize a long document, or help plan your week? It can, if you know what to ask and what to check. In this workshop, you will try AI tools on real office tasks.

Who it’s for: Office workers and office professionals in various fields.
Level: Practical; also suitable for people who have only tried AI once.
Format: Two 90-minute sessions. The first covers how AI works, ways to use it in office work, and how to write a good prompt. The second covers checking responses, risks and data protection, responsibility, and the EU AI Act. Each session includes two practical exercises.

After the workshop, you will be able to:
1. Name three tasks in your own work where AI can save time.
2. Write a precise prompt.
3. Spot errors and made-up facts in AI responses.
4. Decide which data must not be given to AI.

Before the workshop: Bring a laptop or smartphone and create an account with an AI tool such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or Gemini. The free version is sufficient. Participation is free. During the second part of the workshop, we ask you to complete a short feedback form.
