Oskar Seeman’s solo play about fatherhood, “Refrään”
The verses are forgotten. The refrain remains.
“Refrään” is a comic solo play about what we want to pass on to our children, what we don’t, and how much freedom of choice we really have in the matter. Because children don’t just pick up what we try to teach them. They also inherit habits, fears, ways of getting angry, staying silent, loving, or making a joke at the most serious moment.
The hardest things are those you don’t want to pass on, but can’t let go of yourself. What do you do with them? Turn them into a joke?
On stage: Oskar Seeman
Director: Andreas Aadel
Writers: Oskar Seeman and Andreas Aadel
The premiere is on Saturday, 14 November at 19:00 in the Palanga theatre hall at Hestia Hotel Strand in Pärnu. Performances take place on 14, 21, 28 and 29 November, and 4 and 6 December at 19:00.
