The production is inspired by Quentin Dupieux’s film Yannick (2023).

We arrive at the theatre, hoping for an uplifting evening performance. The actors give it their best. Through their acting, they try to touch our hearts and answer important questions. But we feel that the production does not speak well enough about what matters most. We decide to intervene in the course of events. What unfolds has consequences for everyone: serious threats and friendly conversations, critical nuance and funny episodes, personal confessions and public statements.

Juhan Ulfsak’s directing debut at Endla Teater combines comedy with drama. In his previous productions, Ulfsak has created stage atmospheres where the grotesque intertwines with existentialism, simple jokes and slowly moving horses. Ulfsak has received the directing award several times for his productions in recent years.
