Christmas Song Festival

We invite everyone once again to Iseseisvuse Väljak in the heart of Pärnu to sing much-loved Christmas songs together and create a truly warm Christmas feeling. This is a unifying winter event where the line between performers and audience disappears, and familiar Christmas songs ring out in thousands of voices. The Christmas Song Festival takes place on Saturday, 19 December, at Iseseisvuse Väljak, where nearly 400 choir singers will perform much-loved Christmas songs. The festival does not happen only on stage—the audience is warmly invited to sing along. We invite groups of friends, organisations, families and everyone who would like to add their voice to our shared Christmas joy. The lyrics will be published on the Pärnu Christmas Market website before the event. ☃️ The artistic directors of the Christmas Song Festival are acclaimed choir conductors Margrit Kits and Aet Vill. This year, Kadri Keskküla also joins the creative team, bringing her extensive experience and musical style. 🎶 The musical director of the Christmas Song Festival is Siim Usin, and Barbara Lehtna is the director. The accompanying band features outstanding musicians Kristjan Kaasik, Peep Kallas, Sander Berens and Siim Usin.

CHRISTMAS MARKET AT ISESEISVUSE VÄLJAK

As part of the Christmas Market programme, Tanja Mihhailova-Saar and Pärnu Handbell Studio will entertain audiences on Friday, 18.12.26. On Sunday, young musicians from the Pärnu Music School Big Band and children from Pärnu Arts School will give a special Christmas concert. That evening, visitors can also see a special fire performance dedicated to St Thomas’ Day, bringing light and magic to the Christmas Market’s final evening. Festive music will be played by the legendary DJ Urmas Lass. Of course, Santa Ärni will also be there to listen to children’s poems and hand out treats. At the Pärnu Christmas Market, you’ll find special Christmas gifts and enjoy delicious food, good music and a festive atmosphere!
