Dinner and a Show: Kait Kall

Dinner and a show on 3 December at Meistri Lyon with Kait Kall’s stand-up show “From Yesterday to Tomorrow”.

Doors open at 18:00. The show starts at 19:00. Two acts, each lasting approximately 20 minutes.

“From Yesterday to Tomorrow” is a journey through life, where everything starts with yesterday but somehow always ends up in tomorrow. It talks about things hidden beneath the surface—debts, exhaustion, thoughts you don’t post on Instagram but that come out at three in the morning. Life often feels like a dead end where the GPS says “you have arrived,” but you don’t even know where that place is. On stage, an honest and self-deprecating portrait unfolds of someone who goes to work, pays the bills and taxes, and smiles politely. Always in debt—not only to the bank, but also to oneself, one’s parents, society, and promises once made. All seen through the eyes of a taxpayer: someone who doesn’t understand where the money goes but knows exactly when it gets taken away.

In the end, everything can be got off one’s chest, bringing us closer to the truth and something like the truth—how everyone has their own version of reality, and humour lets us say things we otherwise wouldn’t dare to. This is stand-up that makes you laugh because it’s painfully familiar, and makes you think because maybe we’re all in a bit of the same story.

Starter
Beef carpaccio, truffle aioli, crispy capers, passion fruit sauce, rocket, and Parmesan.

Main course
Halibut poached in smoked butter, smoked wine sauce, pea cream, grilled green vegetables (broccoli, asparagus, and edamame), pickled fennel, charred leek oil, and cress.

Dessert
Warm Tosca cake, ice cream, and caramel sauce.
