On 15 November, the Estonian Museum of Natural History invites you to an exclusive curator tour created especially for Curiosity Day, offering a look behind the scenes of the new natural history museum and a peek inside its new collections storage areas. The natural history museum will open its first exhibition in its new building in Noblessner in 2027, and its permanent exhibition in 2028. In the new building, the museum’s collections of 360,000 items will move into unique storage conditions designed specifically for natural history collections. Thanks to the open storage areas, visitors will also be able to see what goes on in the collections and how the museum’s curators work, directly from the exhibition hall. During the curator tour, we will open the doors to storage areas that are still in the process of moving and take a tour of the new natural history museum’s spaces. The tour will be led by Leida Ojasoo, curator of the museum’s scientific history collection. The tour is intended for adults, and participants must be able to move around a building with stairs. Participation is possible only with a ticket purchased in advance. Tickets cost €15 for all participants. Discounts and the Museum Card are not valid for special tours. The tour will go ahead if enough people have booked. The organiser reserves the right to make changes to the tour programme. For further questions, please contact muuseum@loodusmuuseum.ee. Please note: We will send information about the meeting point before the tour. The tour is part of Curiosity Day for museums, organised by the Estonian Museum Association. 📷 Tõnu Tunnel, Nordecon
