Family Day Cinema: The Cat in the Hat

Meet the never-before-seen Cat in the Hat! Dr. Seuss’s mischievous Cat in the Hat makes his big-screen debut in an animated adventure full of tricks, magic and chaos. In his hilariously frightening and uniquely Cat-like way, he delights children and takes them, along with the audience, on an extraordinary journey through a world they have never seen before. The Institute of Imagination and Inspiration gives our hero his toughest assignment yet: to cheer up Gabby and Sebastian, a brother and sister who have just moved to a new town. Since this agent of chaos often goes too far, this may be his last chance to prove himself—or lose his magical hat. Directed by Alessandro Carloni and Erica Rivinoja, Warner Bros. Pictures Animation’s first feature film, “The Cat in the Hat,” arrives in cinemas, including IMAX, from February 27, 2026. The film is distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film is based on the book by Dr. Seuss.
