Karula Teater’s production “Ähijärve Bus Stop”

Karula Teater’s production “Ähijärve Bus Stop”, seasoned with humour, takes audiences back to Karula National Park in the 1990s, while the stories told also transport them to much earlier times. The production draws on stories recorded by the Estonian Literary Museum and the recollections of Jüri Drenkhan and Tamaara Dräbtsinskaja. Many interesting people have lived in Karula, and their stories could fill several books, but the material selected for the production is somewhat arbitrary. The production was created collectively by Karula Teater and premiered in 2023 at the 30th anniversary of Karula National Park.
