SOUL-TIME GONG NIGHT
7 November, 22:00 – 8 November, 10:00
ELUJÕUSAALIS
Imagine for a moment that you are lying beneath a starry sky, the earth gently supporting your body as waves of sound flow through you. At a night-time gong ceremony, this can become a reality—not just a peaceful imagining. This unique event creates a space where the boundaries of time and consciousness fall away, allowing for an experience so profound that it touches the deepest layers of your being.
A gong night is more than a sound therapy session: it is part of a rich tradition of ancient rituals, intended to reset and recalibrate your mind, body and spirit through a continuous, soothing soundscape. Its essence lies not only in physiological effects, but also in ancient sacred Eastern traditions and practices that support calm, receptivity and gentle attunement to the night-time journey.
Every gong is sacred. During the night-time ceremony, the powerful symphony of these ancient sacred instruments creates a resonant space of sound that lasts for many uninterrupted hours. The continuous sounds help the brain move from its ordinary waking state into a deeper, meditative state, creating an atmosphere conducive to emotional release and spiritual alignment. Beyond relaxation, sound vibrations flow through the physical and energy bodies, helping to release blockages and align energy centres. You may notice emotional and physical tension dissolving and being replaced by an abundant sense of wellbeing. Participants often leave feeling rejuvenated, with a renewed sense of balance and clarity. Whether the result is better sleep, less stress or greater mental clarity, the benefits ripple through different aspects of your life, offering a holistic approach to personal growth and wellbeing.
Gong night, or Gong Puja in Sanskrit, means “devotional worship”, reflecting the ceremonial and reverent nature of these events. You can expect a setting that is both peaceful and sacred. This is a good time of the soul to tune in to the spirituality and sacredness within yourself, in harmony with everything around you.
The gongs will sound for a total of 8 hours throughout the night. This is an opportunity to experience a gong session lasting all night. As the gong sounds fade towards morning, there will be a transformative period of silence in which to integrate the night’s gong healing. You will be woken in the morning by bright, fairy-like sounds.
The gong night features a powerful yet gentle and soothing symphony of cosmic sounds. The space is imbued with the planetary gongs Sun, Moon, Venus, Chiron and Sedna. Gong master Tiina Karjatse will hold the ceremonial space and create sounds on the gongs.
