Before Father’s Day: Isaga Teha Võib Kõike — a Cheekily Honest Comedy Show

A concert—or, more precisely, a comedy show about fathers, by fathers and for fathers. Mothers will enjoy it too, of course. What are fathers like? They’re strong and playful, they joke around and talk politics. Or, as one fairly plump man in his prime put it: “There has to be a laugh, otherwise I’m not playing..”

The most suitable act for this evening, from the Estonian music and comedy scene, is the band Minu Isa Oli Ausus Ise. Rohke Debelakk talks politics with fathers. Alongside several lively songs, the show covers fake news, parodies the Estonian game, includes a training session, and talks about life and everyday matters.

The band started performing in 1990, when Gaute and Margo were the only students studying to become electricians at Viljandi Culture College. That has come back to haunt them by now—especially Gaute, who has 220 volts. He has 16 of them under his chin alone. Margo trails off while describing this: “Maybe we should talk about something more serious instead. It confuses people.”
