Minglin Launch Event: Where People and Ideas Meet

In business, there is a lot of talk about networking, collaboration and the right connections. In real life, an entrepreneur’s day-to-day can be surprisingly lonely. You have clients, work, decisions and next steps. Sometimes you’d like to bounce ideas off someone, hear about another person’s experience or find someone to start something new with. But where do you find these people?

In South Estonia, there are few places created specifically for entrepreneurs, doers, leaders and people with ideas to meet in person, get to know one another and exchange thoughts. Minglin was born from a desire to give these encounters a little nudge. Because sometimes the next good idea, collaboration or opportunity is just one conversation away.

Someone knows the person you’re looking for. Someone has been through what you’re dealing with now. Someone’s skills are a perfect match for your idea. And sometimes one completely unexpected conversation is enough to get something new moving.

Terje Adeele, Karina Loid and Janika Mõru will explore a question central to Minglin together with everyone in the room: how do connections turn into real opportunities? This isn’t a traditional lecture from the stage. We’ll talk about how to notice the people, ideas and connections around you that could grow into the next collaboration, solution or opportunity—and explore thoughts and experiences together with the participants.

Because a good connection isn’t just about knowing someone’s name. Sometimes it matters more to notice who is beside you, and why it might be worth continuing the conversation with them.

How do you read the room? How do you create a connection that comes to mind at the right moment? Entrepreneur Harald Lepisk, who made just this kind of impression 20 years ago, will share inspiration.

By this point, you’ll already know more about who is in the room. The evening continues in a relaxed format: snacks, music and time to carry on the conversations that began during the first hour and a half. And perhaps to start a conversation you didn’t even know you were looking for at the beginning of the evening.

We’ll help you notice the right people

Minglin has another goal, too. We want to get better and better at bringing together people who could benefit from knowing one another.

Who is it for?

Minglin is primarily for active entrepreneurs, business owners, founders, leaders and other enterprising people who want to look beyond their usual circles. Any field is welcome. What matters most is a desire to meet new people, exchange ideas and bring something to the conversations yourself.

We deliberately limit the number of participants so people have enough space and time to meet in person.
