Observatory Tour (in Estonian) — 12 November 2026, 20:00

1. You’ll have the opportunity to see inside the observatory and learn about its unusual history.
2. We’ll show you our telescopes and explain how the observatory’s equipment works.
3. You’ll have the chance to touch a messenger from space with your own hands: the Sikhote-Alin meteorite. It travelled billions of kilometres before landing on our planet and eventually making its way to our observatory.

If the sky is clear: We’ll observe the Universe through telescopes. Depending on the season and time of day, objects may include the planets of the Solar System, the Moon, galaxies, star clusters, and even our Sun through a special solar telescope.

If it’s cloudy on the day of the tour: Yes, that can happen in Estonia. But we still have plenty of interesting things in store! The tour will go ahead. Instead of observing the sky, we’ll set up our microscope and explore the microcosmos through a powerful laboratory microscope.
