Märt Avandi stand-up “45”

A 45-year-old man, a parent, an ex-spouse, an addict, a member of the Estonian Defence League, a money fool, a technophobe... When Märt put together his first stand-up show, “40”, at the age of 40 and toured Estonia (and briefly abroad) with its honest, personal material, he thought he might try again at 50. But here we are: Märt Avandi stand-up “45” is a reality. It’s surprising how much can happen in five years. Even if you think you’re experienced, have seen it all, and would like to consider yourself a sensible person. You might have thought that everything inside you and around you would get calmer and calmer. It doesn’t. Fortunately, the desire to look at your life with humour hasn’t gone anywhere. Nor has the desire to analyse your vices, worries and mistakes with complete honesty. Because if anything is worth laughing at, it’s yourself.
