We Know What We Need to Do, but We Don’t Know How We’ll Get Re-elected | Kanuti Gildi SAAL

What can a hall full of people agree on? Kinoteater’s new production tries to set party preferences aside and take a fresh look, ahead of the elections, at what is good and what is bad in Estonia. Or can we even agree on what is good and what is bad? By sifting through experts’ ideas from different fields and adding our own—and yours—along the way, we’ll try to put together our ideal programme. Whatever its size. With every audience, every time anew. One of a kind, democratic, playful. What changes do you think are essential right now? Will they even make it onto the agenda, or are they too “unsexy” to talk about before the elections? And what would you be willing to give up for them if you weren’t afraid of losing re-election?

We’ll use smartphones for voting and actors for onstage campaigning: Henrik Kalmet, Mari-Liis Lill, Riina Maidre, Laurits Muru (Tallinna Linnateater) or Robin Täpp (Teater Nuutrum). And the string quartet M4GNET.

The production is put together by Paavo Piik, Henrik Kalmet, Mari-Liis Lill, Teele Pärn (Eesti Draamateater), Kaur Saarepuu, Linda Mai Kari, Priidu Adlas and Rasmus Puur.
