Florian Zeller’s “The Father”
A drama in seven scenes, in one act
Running time: 1 hour and 5 minutes
According to French playwright and novelist Florian Zeller, this is a “puzzle” that is always missing a piece. André, the protagonist living with dementia, searches for the truth and strives for clarity. He tries to put the missing puzzle pieces together. What is happening in the apartment? Who are these “familiar strangers”? How and when do situations experienced before come back to life? What does time do to a person?
