Piip ja Tuut Theatre: Cats (Meow-sical)

A production full of songs about four abandoned cats whose everyday companion is hunger. It is a story about caring and helping one another. Like a musical, but actually a “meow-sical.” Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes. For families (children aged 5 and up).

“One of the three best children’s productions of the entire theatre year! So much positive energy, fun, verve, songs and dances, with Tõnu Raadik playing along to the cats’ polkas on violin and piano,” writes Danzumees after the premiere.

“Hunger seemed to be a rather unfamiliar subject to our children. Then the teacher was able to broaden their worldview a little by talking about who has had an empty stomach as an everyday companion, and what that feels like. Our conversation eventually made its way to the school cafeteria ...” write Riina Belousov and Jana Viese about the post-performance discussion in the lower grades of Tallinn Music High School.
