“The nights are so hot—so hot and bright, it makes you so restless and ill. You wander around feeling sick and can’t find a place that suits you. And you can’t sleep a wink either.” These are the words with which Toomas Nipernaadi began his monologue in the Estonian cult film *Milla*. The actor behind this character and these words needs no introduction: he has more than a hundred theatre roles and over 75 film roles to his name. He has also been called the Estonian Jack Nicholson and Marlon Brando. Thirty years ago, he walked through the doors of Draamateater, and he has remained loyal to his home theatre ever since. Has Tõnu Kark found a place that suits him by now? How is he sleeping, and what has crystallised in him from all the characters he has played? We’ll find out at a one-of-a-kind evening that no true theatre or film lover will want to miss!
