Christmas Old Town Tour: “Party Like a Black Head!”

Colour, music, dancing and revelry—that’s what a true medieval celebration is all about! The Brotherhood of Black Heads, made up of young, unmarried merchants, was known for its grand Christmas feasts, where beer was measured by the barrel, fine wine reached only a select few, and singing and dancing continued until the sun peeked over the Old Town rooftops. This guided tour follows the Black Heads’ Christmas trails through the beautifully illuminated Old Town. Get ready to hear stories about the Black Heads’ lives; if you wish, you can dance, play the drum, or simply enjoy the festive atmosphere. At the end of the tour, we’ll treat you to a warming non-alcoholic drink inside the museum and give you the chance to try your hand at medieval board games.
