We invite you to spend an evening beside the model of Old Narva and journey through a city that has disappeared but lives on in memories, paintings and museum stories. In the dimly lit hall, a guide gradually illuminates different city districts, streets, places of worship and homes with a flashlight. The beam becomes a kind of guide through pre-war Narva: it follows once-familiar streets, pauses on the façades of old buildings, peeks into courtyards and helps us imagine what the city looked like decades ago. We will see Narva as earlier generations of townspeople knew it: with narrow streets, beautiful stone buildings, church towers and cosy courtyards. The journey continues with works of art from the Narva Museum collection. Paintings and old city views bring us closer to the lost world and help us see not only its architecture but also the people who lived among these streets and houses. Individual buildings, images and people’s stories gradually form a complete picture of Old Narva—a city that no longer exists but remains an important part of Narva’s memory. This evening is not simply a tour, but a quiet encounter with a lost city whose streets emerge from the darkness once more in the light of a flashlight. Venue: Vestervalli 21, Narva. Price: €8 / €6.
