A practical first-aid course for parents on helping children. What should you do if a child is choking? How should you respond after a fall or a blow to the head? When is a high temperature truly dangerous? How can you help in cases of seizures, burns, drowning or anaphylaxis?
In an emergency, it is important for a parent not only to know the theory, but also to be able to quickly assess the child’s condition and understand what to do, step by step. That is the focus of Beebiabi’s practical course on first aid for children.
We’ll cover situations parents may encounter at home, outdoors, while travelling or when a child is ill:
- how to assess a child’s condition and recognise warning signs;
- falls and head injuries;
- burns and situations requiring medical attention;
- choking and what to do if a child is choking;
- what to do in the event of anaphylaxis;
- what to do in the event of drowning;
- high temperatures in children;
- febrile seizures;
- dehydration.
This is more than a lecture. Part of the course is devoted to practical skills and working through first-aid procedures on a training mannequin.
Each participant receives Beebiabi’s original first-aid reference cards for children, worth €15. They are easy to keep at home or take with you, so the key procedures are always close at hand.
Participation:
1 participant — €45
2 participants — €80
The more adults close to a child who know how to respond correctly in an emergency, the safer the child’s surroundings.
📅 12 November 2026
📍 Päevalille 6, Tallinn
The course is led by Jana Lorens, a paediatric nurse and first-aid instructor, and founder of Beebiabi.
Places are limited so that every participant has the opportunity not only to receive information, but also to spend enough time on the practical part.
First aid is a skill we hope never to need, but if the day comes, there will be no time to learn it then.
