Kaisa Kuslapuu “vaŕo” Album Launch Concert in Tartu

“vaŕo” is ready and waiting to be presented! Created together with Canadian producer and multi-instrumentalist Sam Gleason, the album moves through the worlds of indie and pop music and seeks to broaden the idea of what contemporary Võro-language music can be. The songs on “vaŕo” were written by Kaisa Kuslapuu. Alongside her own lyrics, the album also features works by Raimond Kolga and Kauksi Ülle.

Kaisa Kuslapuu: “It is important to me that the Võro language not be considered a low-prestige dialect, but be seen as a living language. Writing in this language is an entirely political decision.”

You can buy “vaŕo” at the concert on both LP and CD. The band will perform in this lineup only three times this year: 3 November in Võru, 5 November in Tallinn, and 6 November in Tartu. You are very welcome!
