Kaisa Kuslapuu “vaŕo” Album Launch Concert in Tallinn

“vaŕo” is ready and waiting to be presented! Created with Canadian producer and multi-instrumentalist Sam Gleason, the album moves through the worlds of indie and pop music and aims to broaden ideas about what contemporary Võro-language music can be. The songs on “vaŕo” were written by Kaisa Kuslapuu. Alongside her own lyrics, the album also features works by Raimond Kolga and Kauksi Ülle.

Kaisa Kuslapuu: “It is important to me that Võro is not considered a low-prestige dialect, but recognised as a living language. Writing in this language is an absolutely political decision.”

Copies of “vaŕo” will be available to buy at the concert on LP and CD. The band will perform in this lineup only three times this year: 3 November in Võru, 5 November in Tallinn and 6 November in Tartu. You are very welcome!

On stage:
Kaisa Kuslapuu — vocals, keyboards, harp
Sam Gleason — electric guitar
Alan Mackie — bass guitar, vocals
Marti Tärn — keyboards, percussion
