GIVENCHY PERFUME BREAKFAST — THE TRAIL OF AN ERA

Join us for a special perfume breakfast devoted to vintage Givenchy fragrances—scents from an era when perfumery was part of haute couture and creating perfume became a true art.

We’ll explore the story of the House of Givenchy’s legendary compositions, discuss great perfumers and ingredients that were unusual for their time, and learn how the distinctive character of perfume from past decades was created. Special attention will be given to the legendary L’Interdit, associated with Hubert de Givenchy and Audrey Hepburn, as well as other iconic Givenchy compositions from different eras.

We’ll look at how the House’s perfumery palette changed—from luxurious floral and aldehydic compositions to sensual woody, leathery, chypre and oriental accords.

— A discussion of why old formulas are perceived so differently today.

The table will feature vintage Givenchy bottles, rare fragrance compositions and blotters, on which we’ll gradually discover how the scents unfold. All this will take place in the atmosphere of a beautiful perfume morning, over a refined breakfast included in the event price.

This gathering is for anyone who wants not only to wear a fragrance, but also to understand its history, sense its character and hear the time in which it was created.
