Concert and Conversation Evening with Anu Taul and Exhibition Opening

A cosy atmosphere, beautiful music, delicious cakes and pleasant company are the main features of salon evenings. This time, our guest is beloved Estonian musician, songwriter and singer Anu Taul. In addition, we will open an exhibition of her portrait paintings, “Muusikamaal”, at the cultural centre. Although she has always enjoyed drawing alongside singing, she began pursuing it more seriously because of hearing loss. In Vändra, we will hear and see Anu’s work and discuss how her paintings came into being. Her exhibition of portrait paintings is a unique journey into the world of music, where visitors can meet Estonia’s outstanding musicians face to face, while also looking within themselves and reflecting on what makes their own soul resonate. Between the songs and music, Erkki Peetsalu will read his poetry; he is also the author of many of the lyrics to Anu’s recent songs.
