Forest Fairies: A Sensory Journey

We’re delighted to welcome the Forest Fairies from Monte Lapsed family centre to Teen ise! Montessori playroom in Saku! We invite you and your child on a peaceful journey inspired by Estonia’s ancient folklore and mythology associated with forests. In Estonian folk tales, the forest was seen as a mysterious place inhabited by forest spirits and fairy-like beings—guardians of nature who could be encountered in the quiet, among light and shadow.

Forest Fairies: A Sensory Journey is inspired by this world of imagination. It is a calm, interactive performance in which children can become part of the forest fairies’ world through light, sound, movement and sensory activities. This is not a loud or fast-paced performance. It is a gentle, slow experience where children can explore the world at their own pace through touch, light, sound and movement.

During the journey, we will:
– encounter light and shadows
– move with colours and the “forest wind,” accompanied by silk scarves
– explore natural sensory materials and rice play
– listen to and create gentle sounds
– take what feels like a small step into the fairy world

Everything happens at a calm pace. Children do not have to join in or perform. They can simply watch, stay close, explore and discover gradually.

The performance is designed primarily for toddlers (6 months–4 years), with their development and need for a safe, non-overstimulating environment in mind. However, the experience is suitable for children of any age who enjoy a calmer, imagination-based world.

The performance lasts approximately 20–30 minutes. After the journey, the space remains open, and children can continue playing with the forest fairies if they wish, enjoy the sensory play space and explore the playroom’s other activities.

Please note that event tickets are non-refundable. Thank you for your understanding! If your child becomes ill, please get in touch; perhaps we can find a solution.
