We invite you and your child on a peaceful journey inspired by Estonia’s ancient folklore and mythology connected with forests. In Estonian folk tales, the forest was considered a mysterious place inhabited by forest spirits and fairy-like creatures—guardians of nature who could be encountered in silence, among light and shadows. Our sensory journey with forest fairies was created from this world of imagination. It is a calm and interactive performance in which children can become part of the forest fairies’ world through light, sounds, movement and sensory activities. This is not a loud or fast-paced performance. It is a gentle and slow experience where children can explore the world at their own pace—through touch, light, sounds and movement. During the journey: – we encounter light and shadows – we move together with colours and the “forest wind,” accompanied by silk scarves – we discover natural sensory materials and a rice play activity – we listen to and create gentle sounds – we take what feels like a small step into the world of fairies. Everything takes place at a calm pace. Children do not have to participate in any activity or perform. They may simply watch, stay close, explore and gradually discover. The performance is primarily intended for young children (6 months–4 years), taking into account their development and need for a safe, non-overstimulating environment. At the same time, the experience is suitable for children of any age who enjoy a calmer, imagination-based world. The performance lasts approximately 20–30 minutes. After the journey, the space remains open, and children may, if they wish, continue playing with the forest fairies, experience the sensory play area and explore other activities at the Monte Lapsed centre. Please note that event tickets are non-refundable. Thank you for your understanding!
